Maya Guide: Wallet, Verification, Payments and Support

Distinguish Maya Wallet from Maya Bank, check verification and payment issues, and find official support without assuming gaming payment access.

LEGITCASINO Editorial Published Updated
Independent Maya explainer showing separate wallet, bank account and support concepts.

When a payment involves Maya, first identify which balance and transaction you are looking at. A Maya Wallet balance, a Maya Savings deposit and money awaiting release by a merchant require different checks. A payment logo alone cannot tell you where money is held or whether a particular transaction is supported.

This guide explains Maya’s published account and payment rules, including how to interpret older gaming instructions. It uses public documentation, not private account testing, and does not verify any casino’s payment availability.

What does removal of gaming links actually mean?

The BSP’s August 14, 2025 memorandum ordered supervised institutions to remove in-app access that redirects customers to gambling sites. Its stated subject is access through mobile payment apps and websites. The distinction matters: that order alone does not establish a blanket ban on every possible payment involving gambling, nor does it authorize a particular transaction. Treat older instructions showing a Maya Games shortcut as historical material, not proof of a currently available route. A missing shortcut also tells you nothing about whether a merchant has actually released an outstanding balance.

Read restrictions at the product level

Maya Business terms list gambling operations, including virtual casinos, among restricted services. That is a merchant-acceptance restriction in those terms; it should not be rewritten as a description of every Maya consumer service. Source: Maya Business terms, section 3.

Maya’s consumer terms prohibit illegal uses. Separately, Maya Easy Credit restricts uses including illegal gambling or games of chance and permits account action for restricted use. An available credit balance is therefore not permission to fund gambling. Source: Maya consumer terms, section 4.14; Maya Easy Credit terms, section 4.3.

Separate Wallet, Savings and merchant-held money

Maya Wallet: check the registered mobile number

For an incoming bank transfer to Maya Wallet, Maya’s cash-in instructions specify Maya Philippines, Inc./Maya Wallet as the destination, the registered account name, and the registered 11-digit mobile number as the account number. Compare all three fields with the sender’s receipt. A transfer addressed to a different Maya product needs investigation rather than an assumption that the balances will match. Maya Savings: check the separate bank account number

Maya Savings uses a 12-digit account number. Maya Bank instructs incoming senders to select Maya Bank, Inc. and use that Savings account number. The official guide also describes moving money from Wallet into Savings, showing why these should be checked separately. Look at the destination balance named on the receipt, not just the app’s overall branding. Source: Maya Bank Savings account FAQs.

A merchant withdrawal is a separate request

For troubleshooting, distinguish money displayed on a merchant’s website from money credited in Maya. Ask the merchant whether a withdrawal is merely requested, approved internally, or actually sent. Request the transfer reference and destination details when it says the money has left.

Do not confuse that request with withdrawing your existing Wallet balance through a merchant checkout. Maya Business terms prohibit merchants from offering Wallet withdrawals through its gateway, QR or Pay with Maya unless Maya authorizes them. Source: Maya Business terms, section 2.7.

Check account upgrade and identity verification

In Profile, choose Upgrade Your Account. Maya requests identity details matching the National ID and a video selfie; unsuccessful verification may require additional identification. Consult the current accepted-ID list for your circumstances. Source: Maya account upgrade guide.

  • Review identity details before submitting.
  • Follow the application through Check Status in Profile.
  • Confirm the upgraded-account indicator.

See Maya’s upgrade reminders. Verification does not establish approval of a separate merchant withdrawal or override product restrictions.

What to check when money is pending or missing

Start with the records on both sides. Maya’s bank-transfer guide tells users to review recipient details before confirming and wait for the in-app success message. That confirmation is a useful record to preserve; an unfinished screen is not a reason to keep submitting transfers. Source: Maya bank-transfer guide.

  1. Record the amount, date, time and exact displayed status. Note which balance was debited.
  2. Compare the destination institution and account identifier with the intended Wallet or Savings account.
  3. For a merchant withdrawal, obtain its payout record separately from your original payment receipt.
  4. Check Maya’s service-status link, then report the mismatch with the available receipts.

This is a reconciliation checklist, not a promised reversal schedule. Avoid retrying solely because the recipient balance has not updated. Maya’s terms warn that confirmed transfers are not freely cancellable, so a second instruction can create a second problem. Source: Maya consumer terms, section 4.13.

Reach Maya support with a traceable case

Open Profile, then Get help. Maya’s contact page explains ticket and agent options through Chat with us. Prepare receipts, screenshots and reference numbers. Cases involving outside parties or detailed investigations receive a preliminary timeline, not a universal refund deadline. Source: Maya contact and support instructions.

When describing the issue, distinguish Wallet, Savings and the merchant’s record. For example: your receipt names Maya Wallet, but you checked Savings. Resolving that mismatch is a more useful first step than asking only why the money is missing. Explain what you checked without posting full account details publicly.

For suspicious payment requests or impersonation concerns, use our separate Philippines payment safety and scam-prevention guide. Keep this distinction when seeking help: the destination account, the transfer record and the merchant’s release decision are different pieces of evidence.
